Martin St. Louis Scores An Awe-Inspiring Shootout Goal (Video)

With the likes of Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane, Marian Hossa, Marin St. Louis and Steven Stamkos all suited up for last night’s meeting between the Chicago Blackhawks and the Tampa Bay Lightning, there was certainly no shortage of offensive firepower on display (we didn’t even mention Patrick Sharp or Vincent Lecavalier).

As a result, one would expect the highlights from this game to produce at least one moment of brilliance.  We were treated to just that, thanks this dazzling display of skill from Martin St. Louis during the shootout.

Coming in on an angle, the Lightning winger used a spin-o-rama move before depositing the puck into the top corner of the net.  Hawks goaltender Corey Crawford argued whether the forward progress of the puck had been halted, but to no avail.  The goal would stand, the Lightning would win, and St. Louis would become the latest NHL player to provide us with an awe-inspiring spin-o-rama shootout goal.
