The Stat Line Of The Night — 3/14/11 — Chris Bosh

At this time last week things were not looking good for the Miami Heat as they found themselves in the midst of a five-game losing streak.  At that point, the boys at the Hip Hop Junkies figured it would be a good idea to create another anti-Chris Bosh video, this one titled “The Boshtrich.” Although I found it to be quite enjoyable, I did warn you all about what had happened the last time an anti-Bosh video was created during a Heat losing streak.

Fast forward one week later, and the Heat are now on a three-game winning streak, thanks in large part to the play of Chris Bosh.  Seemingly motivated by the criticism he has endured, Bosh has raised his level of play over the course of the past week, and it was evident during a 110-80 heat victory over the San Antonio Spurs last night, which saw the power forward record 30 points, 12 rebounds and two steals.  It was sweet revenge for he and the rest of the Heat players after enduring a 30-point loss to those same Spurs less than two weeks ago.

Most impressive about the Heat’s 3-game winning streak is who those wins have come against, as they have defeated some top-level competition in the Lakers, the Grizzlies, and the Spurs.  During those games Bosh has recorded an average of 24 points and 10.3 rebounds.  The former Raptor has certainly upped his game over the course of the past week, helping the Heat move back into the race for top spot in the Eastern Conference, and also earning himself “The Stat Line of the Night” for Monday, March 14, 2011.
