Red Sox Fans Sing Biz Markie’s “Just A Friend” To Kevin Youkilis (Video)

Sitting through a cold and rainy 8-hour baseball game can be quite the grueling experience.  A few hundred Boston Red Sox fans endured that last night during a marathon, rain-delayed, extra inning game against the Angels at Fenway Park, but that didn’t seem to dampen the mood (no pun intended).

Those who did stick around until 2:45 am helped keep themselves and the Red Sox players awake by serenading first baseman Kevin Youkilis with Biz Markie’s “Just a Friend” during his at bat in the 12th inning.  Youkilis would proceed to smack a ball off the Green Monster, but Marco Scutaro would eventually get thrown out at the plate as he tried to end the game right there.

Bobby Abreu would end the game the following inning with a two-run single, giving the Angels the 5-3 victory.

Here is a look at Fenway’s rendition of “Just a Friend.”
