Kuwait And Bahrain Engage In A Basketball Brawl (Video)

As members of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, Kuwait and Bahrain share a healthy political relationship, however, the same cannot be said about their relationship on the basketball court.

The Under-18 basketball teams from both countries faced off recently in the Gulf Cooperation Council Junior Basketball Championship Finals, and with Bahrain only 2 minutes, 17 seconds away from hoisting the trophy, all hell broke loose as shoes, punches and kicks were flying during this violent brawl.

“Strengthening ties between their peoples” is one of the objectives of the GCC.  With that being said, this brawl may have set the Gulf Cooperation Council back a few years.
