The Stat Line Of The Night — 8/11/11 — Robinson Cano

Sometimes all you really need is one great at bat to earn yourself a spot on our “Stat Line of the Night.”  Robinson Cano proved just that last night, as his New York Yankees played host to the Los Angeles Angels.

Cano did manage to record three hits during his four at bats last night, but his first two hits would result in rather meaningless singles, as his teammates would leave him stranded on base.  As for his third hit of the night, it would be anything but meaningless, as he would break a 2-2 tie with a grand slam in the bottom of the seventh inning.  The Angels would score three runs against in the bottom of the ninth, but it wasn’t enough, as the Yanks came away with the 6-5 victory.

Cano would finish the night going 3-for-4 with a home run, 4 RBIs and “The Stat Line of the Night” for Thursday, August 11, 2011.
