The Brewers Turned A Triple Play Last Night (Video)
Things have certainly been going the Milwaukee Brewers’ way as of late. If their four-game winning streak or their 17 wins in their last 19 games didn’t already make that obvious, their triple play during last night’s game against the Los Angeles Dodgers did.
With James Looney at the plate, and runners on first and second with nobody out in the top of the second inning, Brewers pitcher Randy Wolf found himself in a jam, but he got out of it as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Wolf got Looney to hit a ground ball to second baseman Josh Wilson, who flipped the ball to shortstop Yuniesky Betancourt for the force out at second. Betancourt then threw the ball to Price Fielder for the force out at first, and Fielder then relayed the ball home to catch Matt Kemp trying to score on the play from second base.
