One Game, Two Amazing Catches By Two Different Kids (Video)
Apparently it was “Take Your Little League All-Star to the Ballpark” night at Turner Field yesterday. During the San Francisco Giants’ 7-5 victory over the Atlanta Braves, there was not one but two spectacular foul ball catches made by kids.
The first came in the bottom of the first off the bat of Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman. A kid reaches over the rail from the upper deck, keeps his eye on the ball, and makes a nice barehanded grab.
The second foul ball caught by a kid was even more impressive. This one came in the 9th inning, off the bat of Julio Lugo.
This is really turning out to be quite the year for remarkable foul ball catches. In addition to these fine catches, we’ve seen a dad drop his daughter to catch a ball, a guy catch a ball in his beer, and a dad catch a ball one-handed while holding his baby. And of course who will ever forget the tragedy that happened in Texas?
