Stat Line Of The Night — 9/26/11 — Dan Bailey

It was quarterback Tony Romo and running back Felix Jones providing the guts for the Dallas Cowboys last night as they played with broken ribs and a separated shoulder, respectively, but in the end, the glory from their 18-16 victory over the Washington Redskins would go to kicker Dan Bailey.

After missing a 21-yard chip-shot during the opening drive of his team’s week two game against the San Francisco 49ers, Bailey went on to hit the game-tying 48-yard field goal at the end of regulation and the game-winning field goal in overtime of that game.  He continued his solid play during last night’s week three contest, recording all 18-points scored by the Cowboys, via field-goals of 41, 27, 32, 41, 23 and 40 yards.

It isn’t often that we see a kicker receive “The Stat Line of the Night.”  Then again, it isn’t often that we see a kicker make six field goals in a game.  Bailey did just that, and he earns “Stat Line of the Night” honors for Monday, September 26, 2011.
