South Park Takes On The Penn State Scandal (Video)
If it has made headlines on the news recently, chances are you will hear about it on the following episode of South Park. The Penn State scandal was no exception to this rule, as creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone gave their own spin on Jerry Sandusky’s sexual molestation of little boys and the school’s willingness to turn a blind eye when initially warned about the incidents taking place on their campus.
Stone and Parker appeared to be tip-toeing the line between funny and tasteless with jokes equating Penn State to the Neverland Ranch and a catholic church, as well as a joke commenting on Paterno’s refusal to report the incident to the cops. And then they decided to crap all over that so-called “line” and leap several feet beyond it with the following joke:
“And it also says here that Penn State prefers to be losing at halftime, because at Penn State they like when you’re a little behind in the locker room.”
You can check out most of the good stuff in the first video. As for the comment above, you can find that at the 0:50 mark of the second clip.
