Stat Line Of The Night — 11/27/11 –Beanie Wells

beanie wellsThere were plenty of question marks surrounding the health of Arizona Cardinals running back Beanie Wells heading into yesterday afternoon’s match-up with the St. Louis Rams.  One of those questions was just how long would Wells last on a bad knee.  As for the answer, that would be a whopping 228 yards.

The Cards would hand Wells the ball 27 times during the game, and while his fourth quarter fumble did set up a game-tying touchdown for the Rams, he would redeem himself with a 53-yard run that would set up Jay Feeley’s game-winning field goal, as the Cards squeaked out the 23-20 victory.

Wells would also add a touchdown of his own on a seven-yard run in the third quarter, as his 228 rushing yards set a franchise record and earned him “The Stat Line of the Night” for Sunday, November 27, 2011.
