Stat Line Of The Night — 1/5/12 — Chris Bosh
Since joining the Miami Heat during the summer of 2011, Chris Bosh has endured a barrage of criticism. Some have decided to call the power forward “soft”, while others, including Shaq, have chosen to refer to the Heat as “The Big Two”, rather than “The Big Three”.
During last night’s game against the Atlanta Hawks, “the Big Two” were both out with injuries, but Bosh was able to prove his worth as he filled in admirably in their absence, scoring 33 points while adding 14 rebounds, five assists, two steals and two blocks. He did that in just over 47 minutes of playing time, as the Heat needed overtime but eventually escaped with the 116-109 victory, bumping their record to a league-best 7-1.
The 33-point outburst was Bosh’s highest scoring output of the 2011-12 season, and it earned him “The Stat Line of the Night” for Thursday, January 5, 2012.
