Stat Line Of The Night — 1/11/12 — Kobe Bryant

kobe bryantBack-to-back “Stat Line of the Night” honors from Kobe Bryant already?  I guess we should get used to this, seeing as how every team in the NBA will be playing several more back-to-back games than we are typically accustomed to this season.

So Kobe Bryant becomes the first to earn the honor on back-to-back nights, as he followed up his 48 point performance against the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday with an impressive 40 points, eight rebounds and four assists during last night’s 90-87 overtime victory over the Utah Jazz.

Heading into last night’s contest, the Lakers hadn’t won a game away from the Staples Center, while the Jazz had yet to lose at home, but both teams were handed firsts thanks to Kobe’s spectacular outing.  Suddenly, “The Black Mamba” has his Lakers on a four-game winning streak, as he earns his second straight “Stat Line of the Night” award.
