Fight Breaks Out During Post-Game Handshake Between North Dakota And Minnesota (Video)
The handshake line following a hockey game is supposed to be a moment when both teams put their differences aside and come together in an act of good sportsmanship. However, following Saturday’s NCAA hockey game between the North Dakota Fighting Sioux and the Minnesota Golden Gophers, Fighting Sioux defenseman Ben Blood viewed the post-game handshake line as the perfect opportunity to get some unexpected revenge on Minnesota freshman Kyle Rau, who gave Blood a slash to the back of the leg following the game’s final whistle. Fortunately for Rau, his teammate, Seth Ambroz, was able to come to his defense, resulting in a minor skirmish that was eventually broken up by the officials.
It appears as though Blood has been taking lessons from the Jim Harbaugh school of post-game handshakes.
Check it out.
