This Is What An Indoor Soccer Buzzer Beater Looks Like (Video)

indoor soccer buzzer beaterThe term “buzzer beater” is typically reserved for the sport of basketball, however, during a recent Professional Arena Soccer League game between the Detroit Waza and the Ohio Vortex, the Waza’s Aaron Byrd was doing his part to help us apply such a term to “the beautiful game.”

With the final seconds of their match winding down, Byrd delivered a desperation shot that traveled three-quarters of the length of the field, floated inches over the outstretched arm of the keeper, and crossed the goal line just before the final buzzer sounded.  That goal gave the Waza the 13-12 victory, but more importantly, it gave many of us our first ever look at a buzzer-beater in the game of soccer.
