Stat Line Of The Night — 3/5/12 — Kevin Love
When the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Los Angeles Clippers squared off last week, it was the T-Wolves’ bench doing most of the damage, as they outscored the Clippers bench 72-11, en route to the 109-97 victory. These two teams met once again last night at the Target Center in Minneapolis, and this time around it was Kevin Love doing most of the damage for the T-Wolves.
The NBA’s leader in double-doubles was at it once again, as he recorded a game-high in points and rebounds, with 38 and 17, respectively. Those totals were enough to help the T-Wolves squeak by the Clippers and earn the 95-94 victory. With that win, the Timberwolves inch closer to a playoff spot, as they are now only 1.5 games back of the eighth-place Houston Rockets.
As for Love, last night’s double-double was his 33rd of the season. It moves him two clear of Dwight Howard’s 31 and it also earns him “The Stat Line o the Night” for Monday, March 5, 2012.
