AHL’s Steve MacIntyre Loses His Marbles, Attacks Goalie Twice (Video)
Approximately two months ago, the Pittsburgh Penguins waived left winger Steve MacIntyre and sent him to their AHL affiliate, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. However, with Sidney Crosby expected to make his return to the line-up in the near future, the NHL’s Penguins may want to consider calling MacIntyre back up to “the show” so that they can stick him on a line with their captain.
MacIntyre would make a great linemate for Crosby, and it has nothing to do with his scoring prowess (he has only four points in 78 NHL games). Instead, it has everything to do with his prowess for punching people in the head, which was on full display during a recent game against the Springfield Falcons.
While the Falcons’ goaltender seemed to be the primary target of MacIntyre’s rampage, it appears as though just about every Falcons player took at least one punch from the 31-year-old enforcer during this melee.
Along with sticking him on a line with Crosby, perhaps the Penguins should also consider showing the following video prior to each of their games. If they did, I have a feeling that they wouldn’t have to worry about another Sidney Crosby concussion for a while.
