More Riots In Kentucky Following Wildcats’ NCAA Tournament Victory (Video)
Seeing as how there were riots in Lexington, Kentucky following the Wildcats’ Final Four victory over Louisville on Saturday, it would only make sense that we see more riots develop following their victory over the Kansas Jayhawks in last night’s tournament finals.
Lexington police may have been better prepared for last night’s events after witnessing what unfolded on Saturday night, but that didn’t help them prevent students from setting fires, vandalizing property, and in one instance, firing gunshots.
One man was wounded by gunshots during last night;s celebration, while dozens were arrested and approximately 25 people were treated for injuries at a local hospital. The victim of the gunfire is expected to be okay, as he was taken to the hospital with what police described as “non-life-threatening injuries.” As for the gunman, he was able to disappear into the giant crowd of people who were on the streets celebrating the school’s eighth NCAA Tournament Title.
