Phoenix Suns Fans Show Their Love For Steve Nash (Video)
After spending the past eight season in Phoenix, where he won two Most Valuable Player awards and led the Suns to the Western Conference Finals on three occasions, the Suns’ fans have developed a love for Steve Nash. Being a Canadian, I have developed a similar love for the eight-time All-Star point guard.
In an effort to show their appreciation for everything Nash has done for the Suns’ organization and the city of Phoenix, the fans inside the US Airways Center last night chanted the 38-year-old Canadian’s name and gave him a standing ovation when he entered the game in the fourth quarter during what may very well have been his last appearance in a Suns’ uniform.
And in an effort to show my appreciation for everything Nash has done for the game of basketball, I feel it is my duty to show you this emotional scene from last night’s game between the Suns and the Spurs.
With Nash’s contract set to expire at the end of the season, most expect him to leave the desert in search of a new home. And as much as I would love to see him in a Raptors uniform, I would much rather see the aging superstar use his final years in the league to pursue that elusive NBA Championship ring he deserves.
