Dancin’ Larry Was Bustin’ A Move At MSG Last Night (Video)
I’ve always wondered where NHL arenas came up with the rule that prohibits the sale of alcohol following the start of the third period. Apparently, former Rangers goaltender and current CBC ice-level commentator Glenn Healy has found the answer to that question, and his name is Dancin’ Larry.
Dancin’ Larry was all revved up for Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semi-Final series between the Washington Capitals and the New York Rangers last night, as his Blue-Shirts had the chance to take a commanding 2-0 series lead. Unfortunately, Larry would lose all of that built-up energy once the final buzzer sounded, as the Rangers lost the game and surrendered home-ice advantage with the scene shifting to Washington for Game 3 on Wednesday.
Don’t expect Dancin’ Larry to show up at the Verizon Center for Games Three and Four, but he will be waiting for the Rangers when they return to MSG for Game 5 on Monday. And you can bet he and the rest of the Rangers’ fans will be hoping that they return home with at least a split in the nation’s capital.
Check it out.
