Knicks’ J.R. Smith Throws Down Ridiculous Dunk In Losing Effort (Video)
With over nine minutes remaining in the fourth quarter of last night’s Eastern Conference Quarterfinal battle between the New York Knicks and the Miami Heat, Knicks guard J.R. Smith provided us with the “highlight of the night,” as he cut threw the Heat defense and threw down a vicious double-pump slam. Unfortunately, that basket was only worth two points, and not 18, as the Heat cruised to the 87-70 victory.
With the victory, Miami is now only one win away from sweeping the Knicks out of the playoffs. It would mark a disappointing end to what has been a disappointing season for a Knicks team that was expected to compete for a championship after making some key off-season acquisitions.
There are probably only a few highlights from the Knicks’ 2011-12 season that don’t include Jeremy Lin, and this dunk by Smith is one of them.
Check it out.
