Japanese Soccer Player Scores Awesome Goal From 75 Yards, Ruins It With Ridiculous Celebration (Video)
This is one of the top goals you’re going to see all year, even if it isn’t from one of the big European leagues.
Over the weekend, the Yokohama F. Marinos visited Sanfrecce Hirishima F.C. for a J-League Division 1 match, but found themselves down a goal only 6 minutes into the game after an incredible strike from Hiroshima midfielder Toshihiro Aoyama.
Aoyama picks the ball up in the defensive end of midfield off a Yokohama turnover. He starts heading downfield, but spots the opponent’s goalie flat-footed at the top of the box and decides to let it rip. The shot is perfect and sails right over the goalie’s head, just under the crossbar, for a 1-0 Hiroshima advantage.
Then he and his teammates celebrate the goal like a bunch of pricks, doing this elaborately choreographed celebration in which Aoyama pretends to be a bowler and his teammates pretend to be the pins.
Check it all out for yourself:
It’s a shame Aoyama and company had to ruin such a beautiful goal by being a bunch of unsportmanlike turds. Thankfully, the visitors had the last laugh. Yokohama rallied for a 3-1 victory and proved that there is justice in the world.
