The OKC Thunder’s Contortionist Halftime Show Was Just Awkward (GIFs)

okc halftime contortThe NBA on TNT halftime crew are no strangers to awkwardness.  That fact was evident when they decided to stage a “Shirts-Off Contest” between Charles Barkley and Shaq on Tuesday, and it was reinforced once again during halftime of yesterday’s Game Two showdown between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Between their analysis of the Celtics’ solid performance from earlier in the evening and the Lakers’ ability to hang in there with the Thunder after 24 minutes of play during the late game, Barkley, Shaq, Kenny Smith and Ernie Johnson were able to fit in a few seconds to admire the performance being put on by the incredibly flexible contortionist during the halftime show.  And while the act was PG-rated, those with a creative mind may not necessarily agree.  You can see exactly what I am talking about in the GIF below.

(Unfortunately, the gif doesn’t include the part of the act where she uses her mouth to spin on a long metal rod while deep-throating it, but believe me when I say that it happened.)

And speaking of creative minds, here is a little something that the NBA on TNT crew put together in response to the Thunder’s halftime contortionist.  Needless to say, it isn’t nearly as sexy, but it is still just as entertaining.
