Swarm Of Bees Cause Delay At Coors Field (Video)
There was a buzz surrounding Coors Field during yesterday’s game between the Colorado Rockies and the Arizona Diamondbacks, but it had little to do with the excitement of their high-scoring seesaw battle, which saw the Diamondbacks emerge with a 9-7 victory thanks to a Justin Upton two-run homer in the top of the ninth inning. Instead, the buzz was the result of a swarm of bees, which interrupted the game for several minutes during the top of the fifth inning.
Bee invasions are certainly nothing new to the game of baseball, which might explain why they were prepared to handle the situation with the help of a beekeeper and his trusted vacuum. All I have to say is that I’d hate to be the dude responsible for emptying out that vacuum cleaner filled with a bunch of angry bees.
Check it out.
