Watch A 65-Year-Old Grandpa Wakeboard Atop A Six-Foot Ladder (Video)
When I am 65-years-old, I’ll be happy if I can still walk with my replacement hip. As for LeRoy Wicklund, he seems to have his sights set on much greater things at the age of 65.
The moment LeRoy leaped into the water with his ladder and wakeboard, I had little faith in his ability to successfully wakeboard across Lake Powell while standing atop a six-foot ladder. But my doubts were soon erased, as he not only accomplished that feat, but at one point he even managed to do so without the use of his hands (3:25 mark).
I have always been under the impression that one is more likely to lose their balance as they get older, but that clearly hasn’t been the case for LeRoy, as he was not only able to make it to the top of the ladder while wakeboarding at high speeds, but after several minutes of riding – and not falling – he was also able to climb all the way back down the ladder and make a safe dismount into the lake.
Check it out.
