Paparazzi Catch New Jersey Devils Players Hitting The Clubs After Stanley Cup Loss (Videos)
According to America’s #1 source of important information—TMZ—a bunch of New Jersey Devils pulled a “Gronkowski” Monday night, staying out late and partying after losing Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals to the L.A. Kings.
Of course, we now call it a “Gronkowski” after Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski made headlines back in February for being a little too “convivial” (read: wasted and dancing) at his losing team’s post-Super Bowl party.
Fast forward to Monday night, as TMZ’s cameras caught a number of Devils (including, it would seem, Martin Brodeur) dressed in their finest suits, leaving some Hollywood hotspot called the AV Nightclub late Monday night. In fact, it would seem that some of them had themselves a little party bus, and they even had the driver of said bus solicit the company of a couple of random drunk females walking down the sidewalk.
Here’s one of the videos:
And here’s the other:
Now, it may not be the best look for the Devils to be out partying after losing in the Stanley Cup Finals, but they did just complete a long, successful season that saw them make a surprisingly deep playoff run, so that kind of calls for a celebration, doesn’t it? And besides, it doesn’t look like they’re “raging” (as TMZ put it) all that hard to me. In fact, they don’t look like they’re having any fun at all. So I’d say it looks more like they were out drowning their sorrows, rather than partying the night away.
But hey, far be it for me to contradict the hockey experts over at TMZ.
