Watch Grandma Take A Line Drive To The Abdomen During Family Softball Game (Video)

grandma hit by softballMost people under the age of 25 or so have at least one living grandmother.

If you are one of these lucky people, it’s important that you spend quality time with her while you can. However, it’s not always easy to find stuff that both you and your grandmother enjoy doing. So here are some helpful suggestions.

Things you should do with grandma: go to church, eat cookies, talk about the weather, look at old family photos, play checkers.

Things you should not do with grandma: talk about politics, watch Judd Apatow movies, eat at Indian restaurants (unless your grandma is Indian), go ice skating, get drunk and play softball.

Now, I know what you’re thinking: do people really need to be told that it’s not a good idea to get drunk and play softball with grandma?

Well, the answer, apparently, is yes…Yes they do.

Just watch this:

These folks were having a little family picnic and decided to play a friendly game of softball. Because no one can get injured in softball, right? I mean, the balls are soft.

Unfortunately, as you can see, grandma was tipping back a few beers while pitching (watch her take a swig right before delivering the fateful pitch), and that probably slowed her already declining reflexes. So when that line drive came screeching off her grandson’s bat, grandma had no chance.

Luckily, in addition to slowing your reflexes, beer also dulls pain and adds extra padding to the midriff. So grandma was able to keep on pitching—at least, that’s what the YouTube description tells us.
