Mets Fan Fakes Fall On Live TV…And It Wasn’t The First Time (Videos)
Apparently the folks who produce the Mets games over at SportsNet New York are a little predictable, using the same shots from the same camera night after night. And there’s at least one Mets fan who’s decided to take advantage of that predictability.
We don’t know his name, but he’s known as the falling fan.
In between innings of last night’s Mets-Phillies game at CitiField, the SNY cameras caught a middle-aged man with a pony tail playing a prank on some unsuspecting youngsters. He walks up behind them carrying a stack of empty beer cups, bumps into them, and then takes a dramatic dive onto the ground. Then, as the two confused kids look on, the guy picks himself up, dusts himself off, and continues on his way.

But here’s the crazy thing. This little stunt gave someone in the SNY production booth a little deja vu. So they looked back through old footage and discovered that the exact same guy did the exact same thing two years ago during a game against the Diamondbacks—same pony tail, same month, same inning.
Here’s that video:
It looks like the Mets have a serial prankster on their hands.
