Kris Humphries Has Last Laugh In Dispute With Kanye West
Remember how Brooklyn Nets power forward Kris Humphries was married to Kim Kardashian for 72 days last year? Well, as you probably know, Kim’s new boyfriend, Kanye West, decided to throw a little dig at Kris into his latest single.
The song is “Cold,” and the lyric in question are as follows:
And I’ll admit, I fell in love with Kim (Huh?)
‘Round the same time she had fell in love wit’ him (Whuh?)
Well that’s cool, baby girl, do ya thang
Lucky I ain’t have Jay drop ‘im from the team (Whuh?)
Obviously, the “Jay” mentioned in the lyrics is Jay-Z, who is part owner of the Brooklyn Nets. So Kanye is saying that Humphries is lucky he didn’t call his pal and have him fired.
Anyway, it was some pretty unnecessary trash-talking considering the song was released this past April, five months after Kim and Kris split up. But I guess Kanye still had some bitter feelings. After all, he claims to have fallen in love with Kim around the same time she started dating Humphries.
Well, exactly three months to the day after Kanye’s song dropped, Kris Humphries finally got his revenge.
Despite his friendship with Jay-Z, Kanye didn’t have enough pull with the basketball operations people in Brooklyn to prevent them from giving Kris a brand new, two-year, $24 million deal. So yesterday Humphries took to Twitter to issue one simple “how do you like them apples?” tweet towards Kanye.
And here it is:
It’s not exactly poetic, but you get the idea.
