Yankees Fan Faceplants Onto The Field While Trying To Snag A Foul Ball (Video)
Over the past couple of years, we’ve learned a lot of the dos and don’ts when it comes to catching a foul ball at a baseball game.
Finally, if one of your arms is in a cast and you’re eating a bread bowl, do use your glove to catch the foul ball. On the other hand, if you are leaning over the rail to grab a foul ball, do not fall onto the field face-first…
…You get the idea.
Unfortunately, one fan sitting in the front row at Yankee stadium yesterday didn’t see that last one about not falling face first onto the field. Because that’s exactly what he did.
In the bottom of the first of yesterday’s game between the Bronx Bombers and Seattle Mariners at Yankee Stadium, a fan sitting in the first row tried his best to snag a Curtis Granderson foul ball. However, instead of catching the ball, he simply fell over the wall and onto his head, almost getting himself kicked out of the game.
Let this be a lesson to baseball fans everywhere: no foul ball is worth millions of people on the internet laughing at you.
