This Enthusiastic Fan Doesn’t Care How Bad The Astros Are (Video)
Nobody has fewer wins over the last two Major League Baseball seasons than the Houston Astros. Last year they finished 56-106 (worst in baseball), and so far this year they are 36-75 (worst in baseball).
As a consequence, the team has gone into hardcore rebuilding mode and sold off every single player with any value. Last year they sent Hunter Pence and Michael Bourne packing. This year they said goodbye to Carlos Lee, Brett Meyers, and J.A. Happ.
The result? Houston’s professional baseball team is pretty much just a Triple-A team playing in a Major League division, losing games in embarrassingly epic fashion. Clearly, it’s a pretty depressing time to be an Astros fan.
But don’t tell that to Maniac Mike, the Houston Astros’ self-proclaimed #1 fan. At yesterday’s game between the Astros and Nationals at Minute Maid Park in Houston, this guy made what he called his “dugout debut,” and one thing is certain: he does not lack enthusiasm.
Check it out:
See what I mean? His boisterous support of the poor Houston Astros was so valiant that even the Washington Nationals broadcast put him on TV for a few moments.
Can you imagine what this guy would do if his team was actually good? He’d probably have a freakin’ aneurysm.
