Michael Phelps Appears In The Latest Ad From Louis Vuitton (Photo)
Michael Phelps just retired from swimming at the age of 27. He won 4 gold medals and 2 silver medals at the London Olympics this year, bringing his career totals to 22 medals overall and 18 golds. making him the most-decorated Olympian of all time.
So what is he going to do with himself now that he’s hung up the speedo for good?
You guessed it! He’s going to cash in.
Phelps may have retired from the pool, but he’s still going to make millions upon millions of dollars over the next several years doing endorsements. And it just so happens that the fist advertising campaign of Phelps’ post-Olympic career was recently released.
It’s an ad for none other than Louis Vuitton, and it features Michael Phelps sitting in a bathtub with a LV overnight bag at his side—on a towel, of course, so it doesn’t get wet.
Check it out:
Doesn’t that make you want to buy a $3000 man purse?
Anyway, now that Phelps is officially the greatest medal-winner of all time, he’s apparently way too good for brands like Visa and Subway. It’ll be only the world’s finest luxury goods from here on out. So I guess we should all stay tuned for ads featuring Michael Phelps in a speedo wearing a Rolex, Michael Phelps in a speedo driving a Rolls, and Michael Phelps in a Speedo drinking Cristal.
