Shaquille O’Neal Shares His Thoughts On The Dwight Howard Trade (Video)
You think Shaquille O’Neal has any thoughts on the blockbuster trade that sent Dwight Howard to the Lakers last week?
Yeah, you know he does. The Big Aristotle has thoughts on pretty much anything you throw at him. He’s a walking quote-machine. You could ask him what he thinks about gardening and get an entertaining response.
Thus, it didn’t take very much to get him talking when reporters caught up with him at—wait for it—Comic Con over the weekend. Of course, it didn’t hurt that one reporter really teed it up for him by referring to Dwight Howard as the “subpar junior Super Man” coming to Los Angeles.
Shaq’s response? He said that Howard “has some pretty big shoes to fill.”
Check it out:
Man, you put Shaq on camera and the man doesn’t disappoint, does he?
Obviously, there are comparison’s to be made between O’Neal and Howard. Both are superstars who left Orlando for greener pastures in L.A., in hopes that Kobe Bryant could win them a ring (oh yeah, I went there). Still, what’s Shaq got against Howard? Is he that insecure about his own legacy? Does he actually want him to succeed, and therefore is just looking to prod him toward greatness? Or does he just like hearing himself talk?
If I had to guess, I’d say it’s probably the last one.
