Watch Greg Olsen And Antrel Rolle Crash Into A Camera During Last Night’s Giants-Panthers Game (Video + GIF)
You have to feel bad for the New York Giants. So far this season, even when they win, they lose.
Nah, I’m totally kidding. You don’t have to feel sorry for the Giants. You don’t have to feel sorry for any team from New York, for that matter. However, you do have to admit that the defending Super Bowl champs have run into some bad luck as of late.
Heading into last night’s game against Cam Newton and the Panthers, the Giants were already without starting WR Hakeem Nicks, RB Ahmad Bradshaw, and no. 3 WR Domenik Hixon. Now it seems they might also be without cornerback Antrel Rolle after his memorable collision with a camera man during the Giants’ 36-7 victory.
With only 6:40 left in the game, Rolle chased Carolina TE Greg Olsen into the corner of the end zone as he went for a pass, and the two of them crashed into a couple of photographers. It seemed at first like Olsen took the brunt of the collision, since he was the lead man. But it was Rolle who ended up rolling around on the ground in pain when it was all said and done.
Here’s a video of the play:
And for posterity, here’s an animated GIF that shows the cameraman’s perspective:
I wonder how it feels to be bowled over by a 200-pound tight end?
Anyway, they’re saying that Rolle suffered a laceration on his knee, but he has since stated that he doesn’t expect to miss any time.
Finally, some good news for the Giants on the injury front.
