Stat Line Of The Night — 10/18/12 — Kenjon Barner

NCAA Football: Oregon at Arizona State

The Oregon Ducks may have lost LaMichael James to the NFL during the offseason, but that hasn’t slowed down their rushing attack in 2012, which currently ranks fourth in the nation thanks to James’ replacement, Kenjon Barner.

Barner entered last night’s game with 727 rushing yards and nine rushing touchdowns on the season, and he added another 143 yards and three touchdowns to that total during Oregon’s 43-21 route of the Arizona State Sun Devils.

Perhaps the most impressive aspect regarding Barner’s big game was the fact that he did it all on just 16 carries (two of which came from the Sun Devils’ one-yard line).  That gave him an average of 8.9 yards per carry, and it earns him “The Stat Line of the Night” for Thursday, October 18, 2012.
