Oregon’s De’Anthony Thomas Runs Wild During 73-Yard Punt Return TD (Video)
The oddsmakers were expecting a blowout to unfold in Eugene, Oregon on Saturday when the 7-0 Ducks hosted the 1-6 Colorado Buffaloes, as the spread was set at a whopping 47-points heading into the weekend. What they probably weren’t expecting, however, was a blowout of such magnificent proportions, as the Ducks cruised to the 70-14 victory, and covered the spread rather easily in the process.
So, exactly how easily did they cover that 47-point spread? Well, let’s just say that “easily” may actually be somewhat of an understatement, as the following 73-yard punt return from De’Anthony Thomas made it 42-0 for the Ducks less than four minutes into the second quarter. And if a 73-yard punt return sounds impressive already, wait until you actually see it, as it features some ill-advised backwards running by the Heisman hopeful, before he turns the corner and heads down the sideline towards daylight.

That play pretty much explains why the Ducks are 8-0, and the Buffaloes are 1-7.
