Thomas Robinson and His Elbow Made Their MMA Debut During the Sacramento Kings Game Last Night (Video)
So apparently the Sacramento Kings’ Thomas Robinson has been watching a little too much UFC action lately, because last night he went all MMA on the Detroit Pistons’ Jonas Jerebko.
With about 10 minutes remaining in the 4th quarter and Robinson’s Kings up 79-74, the guy completely lost his cool and delivered a vicious elbow to the face of Jerebko.
As you will see in the video below, the Detroit power forward didn’t do anything to merit such a blow. He had his body up against Robinson like you’re supposed to while playing defense in the paint, and he put his hand briefly on Robinson’s waist, but it didn’t impede the guy or inflict any pain. This kind of contact happens on every single possession of every single game.
See for yourself:
Maybe Robinson was just having a really, really bad day. I don’t know.
What I do know, however, is that Robinson is probably going to be sitting out a few games, as the league tends to frown upon dangerous, unprovoked attacks like this one. Just ask Metta World Peace.
