Stat Line Of The Night — 11/14/12 — Greg Monroe
After dropping each of their first eight games, the Detroit Pistons entered last night still in search of their first victory of the 2012-13 NBA season. And they would get that elusive victory at the expense of the Philadelphia 76ers, thanks in large part to the play of Greg Monroe
The Pistons’ center was getting it done at both ends of the court, as he recorded 19 points to go along with 18 rebounds (5 offensive, 13 defensive), six assists and a block. Detroit was also an impressive plus-17 with Monroe on the court, as they cruised to the 94-76 victory.
With the Pistons earning their first win of the season, the Washington Wizards are now the only remaining winless team in the NBA. If they wan’t to change that, they’ll need one of their players to step up, much like Monroe did on this night, as he earns “The Stat Line of the Night” for Wednesday, November 14, 2012.
