Warriors’s Harrison Barnes Gave T-Wolves Center Nikolas Pekovic an Embarrassing Facial Saturday Night (Video)
Harrison Barnes was one of the top college basketball recruits in the class of 2010, having been ranked #1 by ESPNU and #2 by Rivals.com. However, by the time his days at North Carolina were through, I guess you could say some people didn’t think he quite lived up to his potential. That’s why he “only” went 7th in the 2012 NBA Draft to the Golden State Warriors.
However, on Saturday night, Barnes flashed a bit of that raw potential scouts saw in him back when he was in high school when he plowed right through the face of Minnesota Timberwolves center Nikola Pekovic en route to a serious monster dunk.
Take a look:
Nikolas Pekovic: you’ve been posterized.
Anyway, this dunk is just the next story in a pretty decent start to Barnes’ rookie season. So far he’s averaging 10.7 points and 5.0 rebounds per game, and while he only scored 8 more points beyond this dunk on Saturday, he did contribute an impressive 11 rebounds while playing 39 minutes.
So who know? Barnes may turn out to be a big star in the NBA yet.
