Nebraska’s Kenny Bell Knocked Wisconsin’s Devin Smith Into Next Week with This Block (Video)
It’s funny how, sometimes, a team can be on the humiliating end of an epic blowout and yet still produce the game’s best highlights.
Such was the case with the Nebraska Cornhuskers this week. Though ranked #12 in the country with a 10-2 record heading into their Big Ten Championship Game against an unranked 7-5 Wisconsin Badgers team, the Huskers got absolutely pummeled on Saturday night, 70-31.
Nevertheless, as we told you already today, it was Nebraska QB Taylor Martinez who gave us the play of the game when he scored a 76-yard rushing touchdown early in the first quarter. And now we’ve got another great Nebraska highlight from this lopsided Wisconsin victory.
With Wisconsin already up 49-10 early in the third quarter and the game’s outcome pretty much decided, Nebraska’s Kenny Bell delivered one of the best blocks you’ll ever see on Wisconsin’s Devin Smith, leading to a pointless Nebraska touchdown.
Unfortunately, Bell was assessed a personal foul penalty on the play, which negated the touchdown. But don’t let that stop you from watching, and appreciating, the following highlight.
