Mavs’ Darren Collison Sinks Circus Shot at the Buzzer to Send Game to Overtime (Video)
Yesterday, the Dallas Mavericks traveled to Oklahoma City to face the Thunder, owners of the second best record in the NBA. A tough challenge indeed, especially given that the Mavs currently find themselves near the bottom of the Southwest Division (only the New Orleans Hornets have a worse record).
As the clock wound down in the fourth quarter, the Mavs trailed by three and it looked like they were on the verge of losing their fourth game in a row. But on the final play of regulation, Shawn Marion picked up a loose ball and delivered a pass to a wide open Darren Collison. With already one foot in the air when he got the pass, Collison just threw the ball at the basket as time expired. Amazingly it went in and the game went into overtime.

Unfortunately, the Mavs couldn’t translate that circus shot into a victory, as the Thunder went on to win the game 111-105 in the extra frame.
