Cristiano Ronaldo Responds To Child’s Question With Douchebag Answer (Video)
Yesterday in Zurich, Switzerland, FIFA held a glitzy ceremony to hand out the prestigious Ballon d’Or award, which is given to the male soccer player deemed best in the world by coaches and journalists. The winner? Lionel Messi, of course.
But that wasn’t the only award handed out yesterday. FIFA also named its female Player of the Year (Abby Wambach), Goal of the Year (Miroslav Stoch), and Coach of the Year (Vicente del Bosque).
Oh, and there was also the selection of the FIFPro World XI—the international soccer version of an All-Pro team. And it was this portion of the ceremony that proved most amusing.
What was so interesting about the announcement of the FIFPro World XI? Well, it would have to be Cristiano Ronaldo’s response to a child who asked him how he could be as good as him one day.
I won’t spoil it by telling you any more than that. Just hit play on the video below. The good part begins at the 2:57 mark:
Yep, that’s right. When the kid asks “how can I become good like you,” Cristiano replies, “Well, it’s not going to be easy.”
How awesome would it have been if the child just reached up and slapped him in the face, right there in front of everybody? (Answer: pretty awesome.)
If only FIFA had an award for “World Douche of the Year.”
