Jori Lehterä Scores Amazing Penalty Shot Goal During KHL All-Star Game (Video)
In addition to being a spectacle starring the best players that the league has to offer, the KHL All-Star Game was also being billed as a final farewell for Pavel Datsyuk and Ilya Kovalchuck, as the two Russian superstars were making their last KHL appearance before making their way overseas to North America for the start of the NHL season.
So with this being thier final game on Russian soil (for a while, at least), many of those watching the KHL All-Star Game probably assumed that it would be either Datsyuk or Kovalchuk treating us to some sort of highlight reel goal, or something along those lines.

Oh, and in case you were wondering, the East would emerge with the 18-11 victory, thanks in large part to Kovalchuk’s hat-trick.
