Ndamukong Suh Saved Louie Anderson from Drowning on the Set of Celebrity Diving
Last week we told you about a new reality game show called “Celebrity Diving.” Normally that kind of “news” isn’t in our wheelhouse, but in this case it was. You see, this show actually features some celebrities from the sporting world, including Ndamukong Suh and Katherine Webb—a.k.a. Brent Musburger’s crush and A.J. McCarron’s actual girlfriend.
Anyway, the show also features standup comedian Louis Anderson. Our younger readers probably have no idea who that is, and that’s okay. It doesn’t really matter. All you need to know is that at one point he was actually kind of famous, and he is quite a large man.
You see, Ndamukong Suh had to save Louis Anderson from drowning while Louie was practicing his dives on the set of “Celebrity Diving.” But the situation wasn’t what you would assume. Louie didn’t slip on the diving platform or hit his head on the bottom of the pool. And nobody else accidentally dove on top of him to knock him out. Instead, the overweight funny man simply got too exhausted trying to climb out of the pool and he couldn’t make it up the ladder. So after a few goes, Ndamukong jumped in to get him, while the show’s “divemaster,” Greg Louganis, pulled him up and out.
Way to go, Ndamukong. Maybe the NFL will take this good deed into account while determining the cost of your next fine.
