Two Astronauts Came a Long Way to Watch Italy Play Holland in Soccer Last Night (Video)
Mario Balotelli is a volatile guy. You never know what he’s going to do. Maybe he’ll steal a team official’s camera. Maybe he’ll strut around the beach in bright purple underwear. Maybe he’ll score a goal and celebrate by taking off his shirt and doing a bodybuilder pose. Anything is possible.
So last night, when Mario started getting frustrated with his ineffectiveness during a friendly match between Italy and the Netherlands, it really wasn’t surprising to see him lash out and kick the ball in anger. What was surprising was the apparent target of his tantrum: two fans wearing astronaut suits in the front row.
And I’m not talking about orange jumpsuits with patches on them. I’m talking full-on space suits, complete with helmets, like they’re about to go on a space walk or something.
Check it out:
I’m actually surprised they let those two in the stadium like that. Do you know how many road flares you can smuggle in a space suit? Plus, think of the fans sitting next to them. Those things would definitely take up 1.25 regular-sized seats.
Anyway, I don’t know about you, but that’s one of the strangest things I’ve seen at a sporting event in a long, long time.
