Carey Price Was On, Cam Ward Was Not Last Night (Videos)
During last night’s game between the Carolina Hurricanes and the Montreal Canadiens at the Bell Centre, we saw a tale of two goaltenders who were having themselves two very different nights.
On the one hand, there was Canes’ starting goaltender, Cam Ward, who did manage to make 23 saves on the evening, but there were also moments when it was clear that the former Conn Smythe winner was having one of his off nights. One of those moments came in the third period, as Ward misjudged a simple dump-in from a few feet behind the red line by Habs forward Max Pacioretty.
Check it out:
And then there was Carey Price, who just seemed to be on last night, despite the fact that he was sitting on the Canadiens’ bench in favor of back-up goaltender, Peter Budaj.
On enough to make this quick glove save on a puck headed straight at former NHL goaltender and RDS rinkside analyst Marc Denis.

Also on there game was Budaj, who stopped all 19 shots he faced to earn the shutout during Montreal’s 3-0 victory.
