Mario Balotelli and Robinho Celebrated AC Milan’s Upset of Barcelona by Doing the Harlem Shake…Sort Of (Videos)
AC Milan’s 2-0 win in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League matchup against Barcelona was a huge upset, and not only because Barca is kind of the best soccer team in the world with the best player in the world in Lionel Messi. It was also a huge upset because AC Milan was without two of their best players. Brazilian striker Robinho was out with an injury, while the mercurial Mario Balotelli was what they call “cup tied”—i.e., ineligible to play in the Champions League because he transferred over from Manchester City mid-tournament.
So yeah, nobody expected AC Milan to beat Barcelona yesterday, but they did. And although Robinho and Balotelli weren’t dressed for the match, they were in attendance supporting their teammates. In fact, both guys were hanging out on the sidelines with the other players not dressed for the match, as well as a bunch of their friends—including Mario’s rather attractive girlfriend, Fanny Neguesha. And with time winding down, the whole gang broke into a wild celebration dance:
Does that dance seem to resemble anything familiar to you? Like, maybe the Harlem Shake? Yeah, that’s what it looked like to me and several other people out there on the internet, too. So after the game, the video you just saw was immediately turned into this:
Celebrate now, boys. But you’d better get refocused for the second leg. If there’s a team that can climb out of a 2-0 hole, it’s Barcelona.
