After putting together a solid rookie campaign, Adam Henrique has struggled to find his form during his sophomore season with the New Jersey Devils, as he entered last night’s game with just seven goals and three assists in 21 games.  However, the Calder Trophy finalist has shown signs of regaining his offensive touch over the past couple of weeks, and on Wednesday against the Philadelphia Flyers he put forth his most impressive statistical performance of the season.

In a rematch of last year’s Eastern Conference semi-final series, Henrique was the star of the show, scoring two goals and adding an assist during the Devils’ 5-2 victory over the Flyers.  The second-year forward also finished with a plus-2 rating in just under 22 minutes of ice time.

With the win, the Devils continue their dominance over the Flyers, as they have beaten their division rivals in each of the three meetings between the two teams this season, in addition to winning four of the five games during last year’s playoff series.  As for Henrique, he now has nine goals and four assists on the season, and he earns “The Stat Line of the Night” for Wednesday, March 13, 2013.
