LeBron James Destroys Jason Terry with an Alley-Oop Slam During the Heat’s 23rd Consecutive Victory (Video)
Boston Celtics forward Jeff Green, a guy averaging 11.7 PPG off the bench this year, scored a career-high 43 points last night against the Miami Heat. Unfortunately, the only people who really care about that are Jeff Green and his mom. For everyone else, the real story is how LeBron James scored 37 to lead the Heat to a come-from-behind victory that extended their winning streak to 23 games.
Miami fell behind early, trailing Boston by 12 points at the end of the first quarter. However, the Heat got their act together in the second quarter and decided to turned up the pressure on defense. Then the momentum of the game changed with one single play.
Boston’s Jason Terry was bringing the ball up the court when Dwyane Wade stole it. Then he made a nice underhanded pass behind himself to Mario Chalmers, who tossed it to Norris Cole, who tossed it to LeBron, who slammed it home right in the face of Terry.
Take a look:
As you can see, prior to this play the Heat were down by 13 points. From this point on they outscored the Celtics 68-55.
Interestingly, LeBron would later be the one to hit the jump shot that put the Heat up for good. That, technically, was the “winning shot.” If you ask me, however, this dunk was really the winning shot.
