Humans don’t seem to be all that interested in the World Baseball Classic.  Attendance at last night’s semi-final between the Netherlands and Dominican Republic proves just that, as less than two-thirds of the seats at AT&T Park in San Francisco were filled for the event.

So yeah, us humans may not be captivated by the WBC, but I’ll tell you one group of species that is: the seagulls.

With only two outs remaining in the Dominican Republic’s 4-1 victory, a flock of seagulls took over the outfield bleachers and grass at AT&T Park.  Luckily for them, Dominican closer Fernando Rodney was able to strike out the final two batters of the game, ensuring that no seagulls would be injured on this night.

Check it out:

Someone in the outfield bleachers must have been feeding them some ballpark franks.
