Turns Out Rutgers Basketball Coach Mike Rice Is an Abusive Homophobic Douchebag (Video)
Back in December, former Rutgers assistant men’s basketball coach Eric Murdock went to Rutgers athletic director Tim Pernetti and showed him some video of head coach Mike Rice exhibiting what Pernetti called, “inappropriate behavior and language.” As a result, Pernetti suspended Rice for three games and fined him $50,000.
However, Murdock was not satisfied with Pernetti’s description of Rice’s actions, nor the punishment handed out. So now the former coach, who was fired last summer after he says he complained about Rice’s actions, has handed over hours and hours of video footage to ESPN’s Outside the Lines.
It doesn’t look good for Rutgers. Not only does the footage show Rice shoving, grabbing, kicking, and hurling basketballs at his players’ heads, legs, and feet, but it also shows him calling them f***ots, motherf***ers, pu***es, sissy bit**es, and c**ts…among other things. So it’s pretty brutal. And athletic director Tim Pernetti was shown all of this by Eric Murdock, but allowed Rice to keep his job.
Something tells me neither of these guys will be employed by Rutgers for too much longer. At least one player, Gilvydas Biruta, has come forward and admitted that he transferred because of Rice’s treatment of him. Now Erick Murdock is suing the university for wrongful termination.

Mike Rice might want to think about what he wants to do for a living now that nobody’s going to be hiring him as a basketball coach any more.
